While we at Cravat Club are usually known for adventurous, modern designs with mythological motifs, playful colour and more, we also have plenty of time for the classics. Polka dots and florals have us just as sartorially excited as contemporary prints, but if we really had to choose one print to rule them all? We’d have to choose paisley. With its origins in Persia, a long history in the UK, and an even longer list of famous fans, the print seems to hold endless versatility, able to reinvent itself when styles change. We see why - it can do gentle and foppish or stridently rebellious with equal ease, as able to work in a gentleman’s club as well as it does...

You may have noticed, looking out your window, that summer is starting to wave a long, drawn out goodbye. Autumn (or fall, for our friends over the Atlantic) is a season of change. The weather begins to turn colder, the environment takes on a different face - at first slowly, then rapidly - and there is an abiding sense of the whole wheel turning again. Long coats, hats, scarves, tailoring, robust shoes - all of these go hand in hand with the turn in seasons. A man has...
We’ve just got back from our stand at the Goodwood Revival, and what a weekend! This year was our 12th at the event, which is always a wonderful opportunity to meet customers old and new. Despite battling the high winds and frequent downpours over the 3 days, it couldn't have gone better for us as we received an overwhelming amount of interest in our silk accessories, gaining a lot of new customers and cravat converts. Trackside and right by the action, we were always busy with people curious about what we had to offer. Spotting celebrities and admiring outfits while the roar of engines continued in the background - it could only be Goodwood! Some of our customers were kind...
Whether haughty, smouldering or wicked, the cravat is usually shorthand for something. Many romantic leads and iconic villains have had one of these fabulous garments draped around their neck, implying something about their character.
